Territory Account Manager (TAM) – San Jose, CA

Travel Requirements: Local Travel Required
Status: Full-time Permanent

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Territory Account Manager is responsible for identifying client’s needs and recommending the appropriate course/s to attend in any one of our many open enrollment classes.  In addition to all sales and account management activities associated within a geographic region the TAM is also responsible for managing the daily operations of their training facility. Key result areas include increasing Ascolta penetration in existing client base, their affiliates, partners, as well as business development targeting non-existing clients. Maintain and build relationships with local Cisco Account Management team.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for developing and expanding marketplace through in-depth sales and marketing to both existing customer base and new prospective leads with an emphasis on large account sales.

  • Daily interface with corporate office, coordinate marketing campaign for assigned territory.
  • Weekly sales/activity reports, monthly status reports and other periodic updates and analyses.
  • Actively networking through trade/user group meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Attendance and participation in specified user group meetings, weekly introductions and events.
  • Registration of class attendees using CRM.
  • Build and maintain Cisco relationship

 

SKILLS/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop sales programs and implement strategies tailored to specified operational requirements of customers, new prospective customers and associated partner affiliates.
  • Use of Ascolta documents, slides, power-point presentations and knowledge of course schedules offerings.
  • Territory Account Manager will proactively maintain existing relationships and develop new opportunities to increase company visibility in the industry.
  • Cisco Sales Expert certification preferred, not required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and the Internet

COMPENSATION

  • The compensation plan for the Territory Account Manager is created to reward those who meet and exceed territory revenue targets and other agreed-upon objectives.
  • Top performers will be rewarded with un-capped commissions in addition to a base salary.
  • Benefits includes medical/dental insurance package, 401K plan, holidays and paid time off including vacation as well as personal days off and short-term/long-term disability.
